IT projects for US subsidiaries of French companies

When a French company opens or runs a subsidiary in the United States, its IT has to fit both the group's standards and the local team's working day. We carry out those projects remotely from France, in English with the US team and in French with headquarters.

The situation we see most often

A US subsidiary of a French company is usually small at first: a sales office, a few engineers or a service team, often without anyone in charge of IT on site. Laptops are bought locally, accounts are created in a hurry, and the subsidiary drifts away from the standards set at headquarters, sometimes into a separate Microsoft 365 tenant.

Headquarters then needs two things at once: an accurate picture of what exists in the subsidiary, and a plan to bring it in line without disrupting a team that works six hours behind Paris.

We work in both languages: in English with the US team, in French with the IT department or management in France, and we write the reports for both.

What we do for the subsidiary

  • IT audit of the subsidiary: devices, accounts, licenses, backups and Microsoft 365, with a roadmap that headquarters can compare with its own standards.

  • Microsoft 365 and Intune: enrolling the subsidiary's devices, compliance policies and conditional access aligned with the group's rules.

  • Active Directory audit when the subsidiary is joined to the group directory.

  • Windows 11 migration of the subsidiary's computers, planned around the US working day.

Each engagement is a project with a written scope, deliverables, milestones and an end date.

What we do not do

We do not provide managed services for the subsidiary: no day-to-day administration, no monitoring, no on-call coverage and no guaranteed recovery time. Those call for a provider who can be on site in the United States quickly, and we are happy to work alongside the one you choose. We make no promise of a particular result or of guaranteed compliance with any law: we deliver findings you can check and the work described in the quote.

Working across the Atlantic

We adapt to your schedule: calls and workshops are agreed in advance, at times that suit both the subsidiary and headquarters; see also our United States page. Cut-overs are scheduled in advance, often in the early hours on your side, which falls within our working morning.

Quotes and invoices are in euros, with VAT not applicable under article 293 B of the French General Tax Code. You can book a free discovery call from our contact page.

Frequently asked questions

Can you work with both our French headquarters and our US team?

Yes. We run the project with the US team in English and report to headquarters in French, with the same findings and the same plan on both sides.

Can you take over the subsidiary's IT on a permanent basis?

No. We carry out defined projects and do not provide ongoing administration, monitoring or on-call coverage. We can work alongside a local managed service provider.
