From the shop floor to the server room
Taner OKUR, IT service provider and founder of SolidKern: Windows, infrastructure, virtualisation and security, with the discipline of someone who once ran a shop and knows what a day of downtime costs.
Before devoting myself fully to IT, I was a shopkeeper. Stock management, logistics, customer relations, the pressure of the figures: I lived from the inside what it means to keep a business running every day. When you have run a shop, you know exactly what a day of downtime costs. That obsession with continuity is what I bring to your infrastructure today.
Passionate about technology, I built my expertise in secure infrastructure, with a long-standing specialisation in the Microsoft Windows ecosystem: workstations, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365. Several years with an IT services firm on large-scale projects gave me a solid technical grounding: many Active Directory audits and remediations, migrations of servers and critical roles, virtualisation and sensitive production environments. Parallels certified and trained on several Citrix levels, I developed there a rigour that leaves nothing to chance.
What I do today
I now specialise in infrastructure, the Windows environment and virtualisation: migration and modernisation of Windows 11 estates, Microsoft 365 and Intune, Citrix, Parallels RAS, VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V and virtual desktops (VDI), as well as security audits, compliance and advisory. I work with small and medium-sized businesses that have no in-house IT department, or that need reliable technical reinforcement on sensitive subjects.
I make a point of carrying out every assignment methodically. Secure, document, check: taking the time to do things properly is not a luxury, it is what makes a system more reliable and durable, and less likely to let you down at the worst moment.
With SolidKern, I put that standard at the service of organisations looking for a trustworthy IT partner: responsive, meticulous and able to speak their language, without needless jargon.
Structured, documented work
SolidKern works on defined scopes, with a method, deliverables and explicit limits before any sensitive action. Every assignment is a project with a beginning and an end: we do not provide day-to-day administration of your estate, on-call duty or guaranteed restoration times.
Working with clients outside France
SolidKern is an independent provider based in Villiers-le-Bel, north of Paris. Clients outside France are served remotely, in English or French, with meetings scheduled in their local working hours; an on-site visit remains possible on quote. We work with businesses and organisations only, and invoice in euros.
